Black and white photo of the Rock of Ages Lighthouse marking a small island off the western tip of Isle Royale in Lake Superior, as taken from a boat. Two lighthouse keepers are visible on the platform around the base of the lighthouse. Part of the boat carrying the photographer is visible in the lower left corner. "Please credit Official U.S. Coast Guard Photograph, Ninth Coast Guard District, Cleveland, Ohio, Photo No. 090557-10," is stamped on the verso. A handwritten note on the verso indicates that the photo was used in the June 1964 issue of "Motor News" on page 13.
