The house's windows are boarded, its siding is damaged, and a "Building Unsafe. Do Not Enter" sign is posted on its side. Several markings have been made on the upper edge of the photograph in red and orange grease pencil. "Isle Royale (Lighthouse)," is handwritten on the verso.
