Black and white photo of the Port Austin Reef Lighthouse, as viewed from the shore to the south. The image is framed by the silhouettes of nearby branches. Trees and brush on a rocky outcropping on the shore are visible in the foreground. Lake Huron extends to the horizon. Several markings in red and orange grease pencil have been made on the bottom border of the photo. "Michigan Travel Commission, Credit Line Appreciated, Negative Number 7631, Michigan Travel Commission, Lansing, Michigan, 48913" and "Pull master for reorder," are stamped on the verso. "Lake Huron Shore near Post Austin." is handwritten on the verso. Another handwritten note on the verso indicates that the photo was used in the June 1981 issue of "Michigan Living."
