Black and white photo of the port bow of the Soo Locks excursion boat LE VOYAGER, as passengers board it at dock. Two women with handkerchief worn on their heads, and two boys stand ahead of the photographer in line to board. The boat's uniformed captain walks along the boat's deck. A bench and chain-link fence are situation on the shore on the left side of the frame. St. Marys River flows in the background. "April 1965," and "S. Adams," are handwritten on the verso along with the stamped number "2270." "Tourists board "Le Voyageur" for their trip through the famous locks. French Voyageurs from Canada paddling ever westward in search of trade with the Orient and beaver skins from the Indians, first discovered the rapids in the early 17th century." is typewritten on a caption pasted to the verso.
