The illuminated clock tower of the Third Street Union Depot, Fort Street Presbyterian Church, the Town Apartments, the Leland Hotel, the Fort Shelby Hotel, the Michigan Bell Building, Book Tower, Industrial Building, Book-Cadillac Hotel, the Detroit Federal Building, the David Stott Building, the Dime Building, the Penobscot, the Buhl Building, the Guardian Building, the First National Building, and the Veterans Memorial Building all stand out along the skyline. Along the waterfront a sailing ship and the illuminated decks of one of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company passenger steams are visible. "Kay Pictures, 2241 Book Tower, Detroit 26, Mich." is stamped on the verso along with "motor News Automobile Club of Michigan, 139 Bagely, Detroit 26, Michigan."
