Black and white photo taken from the Ambassador Bridge of Fort Street northeast from 21st Street. Discernible businesses on the south side of Fort include a restaurant, a two story brick building under construction, the Detroit Power Screwdriver Company, and a bar. Another restaurant, Grahams Bar, Wing's Drugs, a Standard Oil station, Cobb Canvas Sporting Goods, a Dodge-Plymouth dealership, and the Greyhound station are on the north side of the street. The city's skyline, including Hudson's, the Book-Cadillac Hotel, the David Stott Building, the Hotel Fort Shelby, the Dime Building, Cadillac Tower, the First National Building, the Penobscot, the Ford Building, the Buhl Building, and the City County Building--which appears to be under construction--stands in the distance. "March 1956, Jam Busters, Page 11," is typed and "Please credit General Motors Photographic Section, G.M. Research Bldg., Detroit 2, Mich. 10.x12175-4," is stamped on the verso.
