A pedestrian traffic signal stands on the corner of Lafayette and Cass. Beyond it is a parking lot, a parking structure with Texaco, Williams Rent-A-Car System, and National Garages signs, and in the distance, the Michigan Bell Building. In addition to the handwritten caption, "Detroit--New Traffic Signal," the verso contains a filled out stamped form which reads:
