Black and white night time photo of the intersection of Fort Street and Cass Avenue and areas east, presumably taken from atop the Fort Shelby Hotel. The Detroit Club, the Detroit Federal Building, the Detroit Trust Company, the Dime Building, the Penobscot, the Buhl Building, and the Guardian Building are all in view. Due to the length of the exposure, the head and tail lights of passing cars have elongated into streaks. "Sept. 1954, Detroit, Mich." is handwritten and "Permission for Publication granted if following credit line used, photo by the Detroit News," is stamped on the verso.
