The boys all wear suits or sweaters with ties and are flanked by two men in suits. Several of the boys also sport "Safety Patrol" armbands and medals. Several bystanders are in the background, as are Grand Circus Park, the Grand Centre Building, The Fyfe Building and Central United Methodist Church. "The Detroit News, Detroit, Mich." is embossed into the photo near the lower right. "Safety and Traffic Safety Patrol," is handwritten on the verso, and "Permission for Publication granted if following credit line used, photo by The Detroit News," is stamped.
