In view is Woodward Avenue, facing south from near the intersection of Gerald Street. Car and pedestrians fill the street which is lined with businesses, including The Jordon Tailoring Company, Highland Appliance Company, Wolst Bakery, Nunn Bush Shoes, Shifman's, Bussing's Office Supplies, Woodward Grand Laundry, the Hotel Granwood, Cunningham's, and Famous Furniture. The lights on the underside of the Highland Park Theatre's marquee are in the foreground.
