The new 28-foot, 55-mile-an-hour runabout built by Gar Wood Incorporated of Marysville, Michigan is said to be the fastest stock motor boat built. It is powered by a twelve-cylinder, 425-horsepower Gar Wood engine. here are the Commodore and Charles F. Kettering, president of General Motors Research Corporation, in the 28-55 stock model which won the "Free for all" in the 1930 Harmsworth Trophy Races at Detroit.
