Black and white photograph taken of a banquet held at the Recess Club inside the Fisher Building to celebrate the promotion of Earl N. Hyde from Detroit to New York sales manager of General Outdoor Advertising. A typewritten caption pasted on the verso reads:

When Earl N. Hyde was promoted from Detroit to New York branch sales manager of General Outdoor Advertising, 66 of his Motor City associates held a surprise banquet for him at the Recess Club, Detroit.
