Black and photographic print depicting a street-level south-facing view along Woodward Avenue taken at its intersection with Cadillac Square. Several automobiles, and a double-decker bus labeled, "Cass and Second" are stopped at the intersection, alongside with the Hamilton Road electric streetcar and the crowd waiting to board. The Cass and Dexter bus is not far behind. The First National Building is on the left. Beyond it, signs are visible on the east side of Woodward Avenue for the Metropole Hotel, a barber shop, Campus Lunch Sandwich Shop, Dixie Shoes, Dependable Dentist, and United Cigars. On the west side of Woodward are the R. McMillan Company; Dr. R.D. MacDonald, Dentists; George A. Drake and Company; P.J. Whaling; Dr. Toole, Dentist; the Richmond and Backus Company; Red Cross Dentists; Thompson's; the Detroit Jewish Chronicle; and the Lincoln Properties Company. The sidewalks are crowded with pedestrians. "9-15-27, 86104" printed in lower right corner. "Manning Bros., Detroit" is embossed into the lower left corner.
