Print. Black and white photographic print depicting a row of streetlights with a tapering fluted poles, long upward arching arms, and a downward facing bulb-shaped domes along Second Avenue, south of the Fisher Building, which looms in the background. A portion of the General Motors Building and the smokestack of Detroit Edison's Boulevard Plant are visible as well. Snow covers the ground, and cars are parked on, and travel along the street. "Second Blvd c. 1950," is handwritten on the verso, although this photo's presence in the 1954 Fiftieth Annual Report of the Public Lighting Commission suggests an earlier date.
