Photograph. Black and white glossy photo showing two sharpened timbers at the Renaissance Center construction site. A small chalkboard with archaeological notes (dated 4-27-1974) and two 1-foot reference scales have been placed on one of the timbers. Possibly, these timbers were part of the old fort stockade. Several construction vehicles and workers as well as storm sewer pipe can be seen in the background. The top of the old Wayne County Building can be seen near the upper left corner of the image. Buildings along the north side of Jefferson Avenue are also visible in the background.
