Print. Black and white photographic print taken from the southwest corner of Woodward Avenue and Amsterdam Street facing north. Woodward Avenue is lined with streetlights with dark fluted, tapered posts, and downward-facing bulb-shaped light fixtures suspended from arching arms decorated with scroll motifts. A clock decorated with the Chevrolet emblem, presumably from Walter J. Bemb Buick-Pontiac Dealership is on the left edge of the frame. Two Walker and Company billboards, one for Altes Lager, the other for Dodge, are on the east side of Woodward. The Wayne County Savings Bank Boulevard Building is in the distance, beyond the train station and railroad viaduct. 1930s-era automobiles, pedestrians, and an electric streetcar are also visible..
