Photograph. Black and white photo showing the Birmingham Sales Office of the Detroit Edison Company. The view shows the front of an elegant 3-story brick and stone building that is constructed in the style of an English manor house. There are large showroom windows on the ground floor for viewing various electrical appliances that were offered for sale by the company. A small sign at the bottom of the center window indicates that the company is celebrating its 50th Anniversary (1953). Handwritten text on the verso shows "Present Birmingham Sales Office (taken March, 1953)." The building is located at 220 Merrill Street, Birmingham.
