Photograph. Sepia-toned photo showing workers and machinery outside Station A of the Edison Illuminating Company which was located at the southeast corner of Washington Avenue (now Boulevard) and State Street. The view shows new machinery that is to be installed in the station as well as seven workers who are standing on or beside the machinery. Henry Ford, an engineer at Station A, is third from the left. Thomas Drysdale, who later became the chief engineer at the Delray power plant, is standing on the ground at the far right side of the photo. The decorative brick exterior of the power house building can be seen in the center background.
