Sepia-toned photo showing three workers in the Station A dynamo room of the Edison Illuminating Company which was located at the southeast corner of Washington Avenue (now Boulevard) and State Street. The view shows belt-driven dynamos on each side of a central aisle on the upper floor of the building. The dynamos were driven by steam engines that were located below on the ground floor. Various electrical controls and gauges can be seen on the wall in the background.
