The view shows an electrical substation with transformers, power control equipment, several brick buildings, and wood utility poles with overhead power lines. The substation is located on clear, level ground and the site is surrounded by chain link security fencing. Some underground utility construction work is underway adjacent to the substation site at the left side of the photo. A multi-lane paved road can be seen in the foreground. Several houses and trees can be seen in the background. The number, "76858-6," is shown in the lower right corner of the photo. Handwritten text on the verso shows "Indian Substation, 8/17/53."
