A giant American Flag is affixed to the façade of the department store, and the sidewalk is heavily populated with pedestrians. Streetcars are also visible in the left foreground. The name and geographic location of the photography studio are stamped on the verso and reads, "Spencer & Wyckoff, Commercial Photographers, Detroit."
