Print. Black and white photographic print of a large crowd of people including men, women and children, gathered outside of The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store, to see Santa Claus, and his merry men outside of a holiday display. Santa's sleigh and reindeer are parked in front of the Christmas display. Signage affixed to the building depicts Santa and his eight reindeer; the sign reads, "It's Christmas Time at Hudson's." The date is hand-written on the recto, "1949." Also, the photographer's name, geographic location, and telephone number are stamped on the verso, "Pictures that Tell a Story, Joe Clark, H.B.S.S., Photographic Studios, 11 Arcadia Bldg., 3513 Woodward Ave., Detroit 1, Michigan, Temple, 2-0326."
