The upper half of the structure is clad in wood, and work is continuing to progress; workers are visible on the floors. The lower half of the structure is clad in stone and brick work, windows have also been installed. Pedestrians are visible on the sidewalk neighboring Woodward, adjacent to the existing Hudson's store. Two automobiles are stopped at the traffic light in the image foreground. Also, Liggett's Drug Store is visible in the left foreground. Signage affixed to the scaffolding features an image depicting the completed structure and reads, "THE GREATER HUDSON STORE PLANNED BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN A GREATER DETROIT." Liggett's Drug Store is visible in the left foreground. The photography studio and the geographic location are embossed on the recto, "Manning Bros., Detroit." Also, the photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "90929."
