Print. Black and white photographic print of an elevated view of Woodward Avenue at Grand River, which features a large crowd of people, gathered in the street. A patriotic grand stand is set up at the intersection of the two streets; a military band is visible, and people can be seen atop the large overhang affixed to the J.L. Hudson Company building, and peering out of windows. The Hudson's Flag is affixed to the façade of the retailer. Flags and patriotic regalia are affixed to the street lights, with signage which reads, "3rd War Loan." The photographer's name, address, and telephone number are stamped on the verso, "Pictures that Tell a Story, Joe Clark, H.B.S.S., Photographic Studios, 11 Arcadia Building, 3513 Woodward Ave, Detroit 1, Michigan; Temple 2-0326."
