Reindeer are gathered around the hearth, one is decorating the Christmas tree, while others are seated in chairs, a small peppermint person is in front of the hearth; a young girl is standing on the ottoman adjacent to a chair in which a reindeer sits. A small elf is visible in the right corner background. Images of Santa and Mrs. Claus are hung above the mantle. The window display is adorned with greenery and Christmas ornaments. A book is open in the left central foreground and the page reads, "There he look up and said Hi Christmas Carol, I'm Peppermint!" An arrow neighboring the book directs viewers to window #1 to view them in sequence. The date, photographic sequence number, name of company and name of photographer are printed on the bottom of the recto, "11-25-1953; 25779-2x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B.
