The barge and its 5-member crew are assisting in the construction of aerial power lines across the river which will form an interconnection between the Delray electric power plant in Detroit and the Ontario Hydro J. C. Keith Generating Station in Windsor, Ontario. The Delray power plant site (with coal piles) can be seen in the background area.
