Photograph. Black and white photo showing a wooden excursion boat that is moving slowly on the Detroit River. The view shows a captain in the pilothouse and eleven men who are seated or standing on the deck or cabin top. Probably, most of them are passengers (company or municipal officials) who are observing the raising of aerial power lines that are being placed across the river between the Delray power plant and the Ontario Hydro J. C. Keith Generating Station in Windsor. A signboard beside the port running light appears to show the letters, "E.B.C. III," which might indicate that the vessel belongs to the Edison Boat Club. A smaller boat can be seen in the distance. The steel manufacturing plant complex on Zug Island can be seen in the right background area of the photo.
