Photograph. Black and white photo showing an elevated view of the Detroit River as seen from the Detroit Edison Delray electric power plant site. A wooden barge of Candler-Rusche, Inc., is anchored offshore and the tugboat, G. F. Becker, is maneuvering just to the right of the barge. A power cable line is suspended from top of the steel lattice transmission line tower down to the cable reel on the aft deck of the tugboat. The barge and tugboat crews are constructing aerial power lines across the river which will form an interconnection between the Delray electric power plant in Detroit and the Ontario Hydro J. C. Keith Generating Station in Windsor, Ontario. The Canadian shoreline can be seen in the background.
