Photograph. Black and white photo showing a speaker and attendees at the "Partners in Progress" dedication ceremony for the two recently completed power interconnections between the Detroit Edison Company and Ontario Hydro. One interconnection was made across the Detroit River between the Detroit Edison Delray electric power plant and the Ontario Hydro J. C. Keith Generating Station in Windsor, Ontario. The other interconnection was made across the St. Clair River between the Detroit Edison Marysville electric power plant and Ontario Hydro transmission lines located just south of Sarnia, Ontario. The ceremony was held on December 18, 1953, at the Marysville power plant. The man in the left foreground (holding leather portfolio) is Walker L. Cisler, President of Detroit Edison. Prentiss Brown, Chairman of Detroit Edison, is speaking at the lectern. The man at the far right side of the photo is Robert H. Saunders, Chairman of Ontario Hydro.
