Photograph. Black and white photo showing a man who is wearing an army uniform and is talking on a radiotelephone. The insignia on his hat and collar appears to be that of a Major in the U. S. Army. He was probably at Fort Wayne and was observing and/or coordinating the work efforts for the construction of aerial power lines across the Detroit River. The aerial power lines formed an interconnection between the Delray electric power plant in Detroit and the Ontario Hydro J. C. Keith Generating Station in Windsor, Ontario. The fort property is immediately adjacent to the power plant property.
