Photograph. Black and white photo showing a supervisor who is using binoculars to observe the work efforts for the construction of aerial power lines across the Detroit River. The aerial power lines formed an interconnection between the Delray electric power plant in Detroit and the Ontario Hydro J. C. Keith Generating Station in Windsor, Ontario. A button on his left shirt pocket shows the number, "850," and "The Detroit Edison Company, Holder of Temporary Permit" which may indicate that he is a contractor rather than a direct employee of Detroit Edison. He is probably standing on the roof of the power plant building.
