The nighttime view looks along a dark, paved alley and shows brick and stone buildings on each side as well as parked vehicles, utility poles, and overhead wires. The photo is intended to show how safety and visibility could be improved by the addition of overhead street lighting. A sign near the right side of the photo shows "No Parking, Reserved for Employees of Federal Furn. Co. Others Keep Out." (Federal Furniture Company was located on Joseph Campau Street). The number, "75719-7," is written in the lower right corner of the photo.
