A self-unloading freighter (name unreadable) of the American Steamship Company can be seen unloading coal at the plant near the lower left corner of the photo. Aerial power transmission lines can be seen crossing the river along the center area of the image. Black ink stamps on the verso shows "Public Information Department, The Detroit Edison Company, 2000 Second Avenue, Detroit 26, Michigan" and "Jul. 3, 1968."
