Photograph. Black and white photo of two Detroit Edison equipment trucks that are parked on a gravel road. The trucks are loaded with various electrical supplies. Cable reels, transformers, and other supplies are resting on the ground next to the trucks. A silo and farm outbuildings are partially visible in the background. A typewritten note attached to the verso shows "Roving warehouses were established in some areas of the Thumb to make it easier for field crews to obtain the wire, transformers, and other equipment necessary for the massive service restoration effort. These locations saved Edison crews long, slow drives to permanent regional warehouses, allowing crews more time in the field." Presumably, this photo was taken after a major ice/snowstorm had passed through the area.
