Black and white enlargement of a cabinet card bearing a photo portrait of Theodore Hoeninghausen, of the 16th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment famous for playing the bugle to signal the surrender at Appomattox Court House, seated in formal attire holding a bugle. Baker, Detroit, Mich, is embossed, and "Yours Truly, Theo. Hoeninghausen; 16th Michigan Infty." is handwritten on the bottom border of the cabinet card.
