Black and white photo of the Ashley and Dustin Steamer Line excursion steamer PUT-IN-BAY, docked at the foot of Mt. Elliott Street, in 1953, prior to its burning, as taken from an adjacent pier off the boat's stern. Two men, including one fishing while smoking a cigarette, are in the foreground. The Douglas MacArthur Bridge stands in the background. A large pile of coal is on the shore just east of the boat. "'PUT-IN-BAY' at foot of Mt. Elliot (sic) Ave. Detroit, Michigan," and "Negative: Richard F. Glaze," are handwritten on the verso. "162K," is stamped on the verso.
