Black and white photographic print of Henry D. Brown, speaking at the dedication of the Detroit Historical Museum, July 24, 1951. Brown, the Museum Director is accepting a bust of Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac. Seated behind him in the plaza, are several community leaders, including Msgr. Edward J. Hickey. Hand-written on the verso, "Dedication, 1951, Henry D. Brown, Director Detroit Historical Museum, Accepting Bust, Opening of the Museum." Also, the name of the photographer is stamped on the verso, "Photo by W.J. Pietschmann."
