At the invitation of the Secretary-General U Thant, the three Apollo 8 astronauts, the first circumnavigators of the moon, Colonel Frank Borman, Captain James Lovell and Lieutenant Colonel William Anders, and their families, visited United Nations Headquarters today and attended a reception given in their honor.
Here, the three astronauts are seen with Secretary-General U Thant during the reception in his suite on the 38th floor.
