Detroit Police

Photograph (and 1 black and white copy). Sepia-toned photo showing a group of 25 policemen in front of the old Detroit Athletic Club (D.A.C.) building. Two rows of policemen are standing on the steps of the building doorway and the third row is seated in front. All of the men are holding wooden nightsticks. The top of the decorative brick arch at the building doorway is visible in the background. A bicycle can be seen on the far left side of the photo. Handwritten text on the verso shows "Bob Clare, front row, left end; Jack Stapler, first bicycle policeman, front row, 2nd from right; Capt.
