Proof sheet containing twelve black and white photos taken aboard the excursion boat LE VOYAGEUR on one of its tours through the Sabin Lock, part of the Soo Locks. Other passengers, the passing Cleveland-Cliffs Iron Company freighter CADILLAC, and the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge are also captured in the series. "April 1965," is handwritten on the verso above a pasted-on typewritten caption which reads, "Entering and locking through the Sabin Lock on the American side of the St. Marys Falls Canal, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The Sabin Lock and its twin, the Davis, are the longest locks in the world. Boat tours through the locks run from May 30 to mid-October. In the distance is the new International Bridge completed in late 1962 and the railway bridge, world's largest jackknife bridge."
