The building in the background with the Kruger Boat Top and Trim sign was located at Kean's Marina. The "seven sisters", smokestacks at the Detroit Edison plant, can also be seen in the far background. This GALE V, the third boat to carry the name, was owned by Joe Schoenith of Detroit and raced from 1958 to 1964.
