12th St. Checked Out
Color 35mm slide taken during the events of July 1967 showing a group of people in front of the remaining facade of a burned-down building on 12th Street. Signs for a check casher and a barber shop remain on the surviving brick and stonework. Along the left edge of the frame, smoke and flames rise from the underside of a meat market's window.
The slide's paper frame is printed with "12, Aug 67F3," and the title is handwritten on the frame in pencil.
