The image shows the burial service for Detroit firefighter John C. Ashby at Mt. Elliott Cemetery. The flag draped casket is beneath a canopy, and surrounded by firefighters in dress and ceremonial uniform.
The slide is housed in an Ektachrome cardboard mount, numbered "36" in pencil.
