The image shows a Detroit Fire Department fire truck, draped with a black cloth, and carrying the flag-draped casket of firefighter Carl Smith through Elmwood Cemetery. A group of fire fighters in dress uniforms stand beside the truck. A row of cars, and the Traugott Schmidt Mausoleum are visible in the background.
The slide is housed in a Kodacolor cardboard mount, stamped with "MAR 68R."
