Joe Louis is wearing a grey herringbone tweed sport coat with a pocket square and pattern tie and is holding up a pack of Chesterfield cigarettes in his right hand. Printed text at the bottom of the advertisement card shows "The Winner, In my restaurant in New York Chesterfield is by far the largest selling cigarette. Joe Louis." The name, "Ed Nelson," is handwritten in red ink on the verso.
