Advertisement on a double-sided page from the Detroit Stove Works, promoting Jewel Stoves and Combination Gas Machines from the Combination Gas Machine Company. On the recto are advertising cuts for seven different Jewel Stoves, a Jewel Stoves trade mark, and a Detroit Stove Works monogram. On the verso is a diagram showing a Combination Gas Machine and the equipment used to set it up, including the pipes and underground carburetor. Advertising text on the verso claims that these machines are "For Lighting Country and Suburban Residences, Churches, Opera Houses, Public and Private Institutions, Stores, Mills, Factories, Hotels, Or Any Place Wanting Artificial Light" and that they are "the only Machine in use that can furnish Gas to Two or more consumers, and each consumer pay for what he uses ONLY." A testimonial from the Detroit Stove Works at the bottom of the verso reads "We have had in use for many years, for lighting our Works, one of the Combination Gas Machine Co.'s 500-Light Machines, which we are pleased to say gives us entire satisfaction."
