Farmer's Boiler

Advertisement from the Detroit Stove Works promoting their "Farmer's Boiler" model combined furnace and cauldron. On the recto is an illustration of a Farmer's Boiler with text advertising it as "Mott's Patent" and stating that "Mott's Combined Furnace and Cauldron has an established reputation. Answering the same purpose as Kettles set in brick, they are much more convenient and economical; having this advantage, they are portable. They operate well out of doors, requiring only a joint of pipe to give them the necessary draft."
