One poster entitled "Instruction Ballot for Voters, General Election - Nov. 6, 1956." The poster is printed in red, black, and blue ink on white paper and offers instructions on the procedures for casting votes. The ballot lists the names and political party affiliations for each of the candidates for the Presidential, State, County, and Judicial offices. Dwight D. Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson were the Republican and Democratic candidates, respectively, for President. Albert E. Cobo and G. Mennen Williams were the Republican and Democratic candidates, respectively, for Michigan Governor. This ballot did not include a Detroit Mayoral election.
