Blueprint

Plan of Ceiling Under Smoking Room,
Plan of Main Ceiling

One blueprint drawing entitled "Plan of Ceiling Under Smoking Room" and "Plan of Main Ceiling." The drawing shows proposed architectural details in two of the public rooms in the passenger steamship, SS City of Detroit III. The name of the designer, "Louis O. Keil," is shown in the lower right corner of the plan sheet along with the date, "Dec. 10, '06." Several years after the ship was scrapped in 1956, the salvaged men's smoking lounge (known as the Gothic Room) was acquired by the City of Detroit and was reassembled in the Dossin Great Lakes Museum.
