Dock for Mooring D&C Boats
One blueprint drawing entitled "Proposed Method of Reinforcing Michigan Central Ry. [Railway] Dock for Mooring D&C Boats." The drawing shows plan and cross-section views of the Michigan Central Railroad dock along with the outlines of two vessels that are tied alongside the dock. The mooring line arrangements for the ships are also shown in relation to two parallel railroad track lines that run along the dock. In addition, the plan shows a series of underground cable anchorages that run beneath the railroad tracks in order to provide reinforcement for steel chocks at the edge of the dock which are the attachment points for the ships' mooring lines. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by the "D&C Navigation Co., Detroit, Michigan." The plan has a most recent revision date of March 13, 1941.
